It seemed to emerge from nowhere – unannounced, untraceable. Or maybe it had always been there, waiting to be seen. The dreamscape. Familiar, yet impossible to place. Desired, before I could even name it.
A dream, I thought.
I blinked once. Twice. It remained.
Magnificent.
Not sleep, not illusion – but something in between. A lucid threshold, unfolding within wakefulness. A conscious dream, held inside an awakened state.
How quietly it arrived. How impossible it was to deny.
